The world around us is so full of beauty and deliciousness. How do we express it all? Not through perfectionistic reproduction, but through loving, imperfect celebration. I seek out little scenes that amuse me, astound me. Some of them are sweet, some are wry, some are tinged with darkness or melancholy. Animals, people, stolen glances, weird ephemera, juxtaposed objects... I love them all. Some photos are just examining the way light wraps around a flower, or how an abandoned cobweb becomes blanketed with dust, some are wider focus as I turn my eye out on the sky and streets around me. My photographs, I feel, are tender little postcards from my life, which I share with those who resonate with the same stories I do.
